The Gumball Diary (Monday April 29)
1210 - Lunch break just off I40
Really great drive this morning through the desert - awsome
scenery, the only down side being that the roads are long and straight
a little dull really. This afternoon we're planning on making a detour
along the scenic route that has been recommended by a friend, guess that
the roads should be a little more interesting there.
Initially we've got a 410 mile run up to the Grand Canyon, and
then on to Las Vegas!
1455 - Car Park of Apache County Court House
Not good really. Sitting in the car park of the Court House
waiting to find out what's going to happen for being stopped doing
106 in a 75 zone. Interestingly enough we're here next to another
Gumball car - number 93 (the Mercedes driven by the Gorillaz crew).
Until now the afternoon hadn't been too bad, apart from being forced
off the scenic route up to the Grand Canyon by the Navaho police -
shame really as I'd been looking forward to that drive as I'd been
told that it was a detour that was really worth making.
1510 - Still in the car park
Looks as though it's not as bad as it could be, $300 bond posted
and a court date of May 9th, however it turns out that we were only
the second car to be caught doing over a hundred in the last four
years (big oops!)
On our way again soon though. Also, turns out that the Gorillaz
were busted for 99 - only $120 fine.
Also turns out that the driver of one of the Vipers is a wanted
man in Arizona; apparently for out running the police car that
clocked him for doing over 110....
